Child Passenger Safety Seat Information
Currently, Texas law requires children younger than 5 years of age and
less than 36 inches tall are required by state law to be secured in an
approved child safety seat system according to the instructions of the
safety seat system's manufacturer.

Misuse
Every year, hundreds of children who are not properly restrained by a child safety seat or those who are not restrained at all are killed in auto crashes. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Advisory, an average of 80% of child safety seats are used incorrectly. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
