WHY WALK ALONE?


LATE EVENING BUS SERVICE:  Residents that park in remote lots on West Campus do not have to walk to the residence halls after dark.  On-campus shuttle buses (Route N01) run every 15 minutes from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and every 30 minutes from 10:00 pm until 12:00 am Monday through Thursday.  It runs every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm through 12:00 am on Fridays.  There is no on-campus service on the weekends.  All major resident parking areas are on the bus route.  Buses also stop at the MSC/Rudder Complex, Reed Arena, University Apartments, Residence Hall areas, and the Student Recreation Center.  Any time the University is not officially closed, a customer service number is also available from 6:00 am - 1:00 am Monday through Friday and 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.  Visit Transportation Services for more information on Night & Weekend Transit Services.

The Northgate bus route N11 has been added to accommodate those students living in the Northgate area.  The main campus stop for the Midnight Yell N11 route is on Spence Street at Pi R Square near the CE/TTI Building.  This route runs every 25 minutes 7 days a week.  Depending on Daylight Savings Time, the first pick up will either be at 6:00 pm or 8:00 pm.  The last pick up from Pi R Square is at 12:40 am.  Visit the Transit Information page for more information regarding routes.

THE CORPS OF CADETS GUARD ROOM (845-6789):  The Guard Room provides a free 24 hour escort service. By calling the Guard Room, a Corps member will meet the person requesting the escort and walk with him/her to most central on-campus locations (e.g., resident halls, parking lots, etc.)
