What is Engraving & How can I get my property Engraved?
Engraving is a process where one of our officers uses a tool to etch a number, such as your drivers license, onto your property. Should your property (such as your bike or computer) be stolen, having this number etched into the bottom allows police to positively identify the property as yours which can assist us in returning the property to you if it is recovered.
Engraving services are provided by UPD in various locations during the Fall semester, starting with Howdy Week. You can also bring your property anytime to the UPD office.
