Request Safety Training From UPD

Is it time to refresh your team's knowledge of safety measures and preparedness to enhance campus safety? Whether you're introducing safety training or reinforcing existing knowledge, we're here to help.

Here's a list of our programs and services designed to equip your team with essential safety skills:

  1. Civilian Response to Active Shooter: This presentation focuses on the Avoid, Deny, and Defend concepts, providing vital strategies for responding effectively during an active-shooter situation.
  2. Stop The Bleed Presentation: This interactive session teaches three critical methods for controlling bleeding: using manual pressure, packing wounds, and applying a tourniquet. Note that class size is limited for an optimal experience.
  3. Alive at 25 Program: Tailored for drivers under 25, this defensive driving course promotes safe driving habits. Please be aware that online registration is required on the Texas Alive Team website to attend.
  4. Child Car Seat Installations and Safety Checks: This program provides valuable resources for parents and guardians on proper child car seat installation. We highly recommend scheduling an appointment for this service.
  5. EZ Child ID: Using a digital fingerprinting system, this program provides parents or guardians with a USB drive containing their child's fingerprints, photos, and other important information for emergencies. Appointments are necessary for participation.
  6. Safety Assessments: Our thorough safety assessments examine your workplace to identify potential hazards and processes that could pose risks to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
  7. Educational Programs: We offer a variety of programs, including Personal Safety (Self Defense), Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Awareness, Identity Theft and Fraud Awareness, and Bicycle and Scooter Safety.
  8. Property Engraving Service: Our officers can etch identifying numbers, such as your driver's license number, onto your property. This service helps law enforcement identify your property or belongings if they are lost or stolen. Engraving is available at various events throughout the school year and at any time through the University Police Department (UPD).
